[edit] Additional information
Started acoustic with the band around an acoustic mic, then, after the second verse, Simon moves to his guitar, and after that, Patrick moves to the piano.
On the 23th of April 2012, the music video for Into Giants was released. It features the band and Erika Angell in a vintage setting. [watch].
The press info:
The all-singing, all-dancing clip was directed by longtime collaborator Brigitte Henry, who not only worked her magic on the video, but also served as art director for the album packaging, and co-creates the band’s live visuals with the ingenious lighting man Félix Desrochers. Henry also directed Watson’s first-ever music video, for “Drifters” from 2006’s Close to Paradise. The video was shot by cinematographer Andre Turpin at the Ukrainian Federation in Montreal—a venue that Watson and his band have previously performed in, but probably minus the fancy footwork on display here.
[edit] Lyrics
Time is running fast, While we were walking so slow, While I watched us grow and grow Carry our love in cups to go (Grew so tall our heads hit ceilings) The troubles seem so small (Outgrew all doors and walls) We never needed any plans (For ends to meet again) Started as lovers, don't know where it's gonna end Some friends had to disappear but left a hole for us to grow there in their light Time, keeps on passing us by (into giants you can't stop us) From living out our lives (As we turned into a crowd of smiles) Jumping over all the bad times (For ends to meet again) Started as lovers, don't know where it's gonna end Started as lovers, don't know where it's gonna end Oooooooooooo Papapapapapapapa Started as lovers, don't know where it's gonna end
